WordPress 6.4.3 has an issue! 🫠

An issue related to the security fixes in WordPress Core 6.4.3 has been identified. Some plugin updates and file uploads may fail with an error of “Incompatible Archive”. WHAT’S CAUSING THIS ISSUE…

The Mac OS adds non-malicious “hidden” files to folders. When these hidden files are in a zipped file, WordPress flags these files and blocks the plugin upload or update, causing the error.

Note that some plugin updates and uploads will still work. This will only affect some.

WHAT TO DO…

Sit tight for now. The WordPress Core team is currently discussing the severity of the issue and how to address it.
